On 18 July 2020 the Aretina Section of the ANGS (National Grenadiers Association of Sardinia) was reconstituted. Alano had the honor of providing Military Service in the 1st Rgt Granatieri di Sardegna in Rome at the Gandin Barracks in the years 1963/64 with the rank of Corporal Major. The Sardinian Grenadiers are the oldest Military Corps in Europe having been founded in 1659. They wrote pages of Glory!!! Alano also has the honor of being the Ensign of the Section.
